Team Tickets are Purchased
I bought all eight airline tickets for the team who will be coming to Urukundo May 31st-June 12th. Andria will be flying with them on the way to Rwanda. I (Todd) will be flying out April 28th. This will give me a full month to learn some of the managerial stuff from Arlene before groups start arriving. The team from New Covenant are SO excited. I saw Mari today and she was almost jumping out of her shoes. We had another fundraiser today...Chili cook off and brownie bake-off. We raised more money that will go to help the team going to Rwanda as well as summer beach camp. So excitement is growing as summer approaches, but there is also a little sadness as Andria and I realize our time is drawing to a close at New Covenant.

Sermon
This weekend was very good. Heatherlyn was the guest musician for the church services and I shared a message about the Shema (Loving God and loving others- Deut. 6:4-9). I shared how the Jews had Mezuzahs mounted on their doorpost with the Shema scrolled inside. Jews took serious their call to pass on their faith to their families. When Andria and I went to Rwanda we felt called to pass on our faith to the orphans in Urukundo. We showed slides of the children and shared how they need our prayer. It was an incredible time of worship.

The List
On the list this week: dentist and dermatology! Found out that my skin is fine, my teeth...not so much. The dentist found two cracked teeth that are hopefully repairable. He filled one yesterday and will fill the other one tomorrow. It's funny how important medical care has become!

Less than three months until I leave (April 28th) and Andria will leave at the end of May. She will bring a team of eight from our church, New Covenant Church. The reality of all the things that need to be done is starting to sink in....but the excitement over our big move is by far greater than any other emotion.
